We want workers and businesses to learn about their rights and responsibilities

Introducing Labor Laws for Seattle Office of Labor Standards

The City of Seattle is a leader on wage, labor and workforce practices that enhance equity address wage gaps and create a fair and healthy economy for workers, businesses and residents. The Office of Labor Standards (OLS) was created on April 1, 2015.

I worked closely with the communications manager and policy analyst to create all the marketing and outreach materials.

“Working with Amie on the suite of websites she managed for the Office of Civil Rights and Office of Labor Standards, I was struck by her ability to think creatively and problem-solve, her drive to constantly leverage and grow her skills, and her dedication to her work. Amie can quickly grasp a big picture view of her projects, while still managing the details and tending to the incremental tasks necessary to reach project goals. As a peer on multiple projects, she was always a pleasure to work with, bringing a positive attitude and thoughtful analysis, even when faced with tight deadlines and resource limitations. Amie is sensitive to the complexities of working in diverse and changing project teams, and brings infectious enthusiasm to her work.”
